About Us
Brittons Ash Garage was set up in 1991
by me Kevin Welch. I had worked in the motor trade for many years in
the Taunton area, and extensively on Jaguar.
To me the Jaguar was always a bit special, I
developed a passion for the cars which developed into a burning desire
to set up my own Jaguar specialist workshop, I knew I could offer a
more personal service than the main dealer.
I was offered what was nothing more than a
tumble down shed in the small hamlet of Brittons Ash just outside
Taunton on the Bridgwater road. The shed was a mess but I could see the
potential so I took it. In 1995 I embarked on an ambitious project and
had a complete new workshop built over the shed, I now had a nice
workshop for all those nice cars.
1996 saw a young man called James Ottery
join Brittons Ash Garage, James joined me right from school and was a
keen student on all things automotive. Today James is my right hand
man, I think you will find his knowledge and enthusiasm infectious.
Myself, James, and our team look after
numerous Jaguars, Early S Types, Current S Types, XJ6 - XJ40 - XJ300 -
XJ8 - XJS - XK8 the fantastic E Type and the very popular new X Type.
We are car enthusiasts and as such we are
lucky that many enthusiastic owners bring their babies to us. We have
looked after Ferrari, Bentley, Rolls Royce, Porsche and many other
beautiful and valuable motor cars.
